Jiangsu Valira Advanced Materials Co., Ltd.'s independently developed T70X metal powder for selective laser melting (SLM) has been included in the first batch of new materials under Jiangsu Province's 2026 "Three Firsts and Two News" recognition list. The accompanying high-efficiency argon-recycling EIGA atomization equipment was also recognized under the new technology and new product list, marking dual provincial-level validation of both the material and powder production equipment. T70X is a next-generation near-α high-temperature titanium alloy capable of stable service at 700°C (with a tensile strength of ≥480 MPa at that temperature), filling a domestic gap in high-temperature titanium alloy powders at this grade. It has been applied in critical components such as aero-engine blades, casings, blisks, and thermal structural parts for high-speed aircraft. It also resolves the forming challenges of TC4/TA15, whose mechanical properties degrade sharply above 500°C, and Ti2AlNb, which is highly susceptible to cracking. Valira has maintained a market share exceeding 35% for three consecutive years, with a planned annual production capacity of over 10,000 tonnes. This recognition marks a shift for domestic high-temperature titanium alloy powders from "following" to "leading," providing material support for the autonomous manufacturing of larger and higher-temperature aerospace power components. Value for powder buyers: ① The 700°C-grade high-temperature titanium alloy powder achieves domestic substitution, giving aero-engine and high-speed aircraft customers a new purchasable grade. ② T70X offers forming performance similar to TA15 but with higher temperature resistance, so watch its substitution pace with TA15 and its impact on powder demand structures. ③ The EIGA equipment's inclusion proves Valira's integrated powder-making equipment and material capability; as its capacity expands, its equipment offerings are also worth tracking for powder producers.
