Huagong Tech Solves AI Liquid Cooling Challenge: High-Purity Copper Microchannel Components Produced via 3D Printing in Batch Delivery
At Huagong Tech’s AI Full-Chain Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystem Conference, Huagong Laser’s 3DP Additive Manufacturing Division revealed that as AI chip power consumption surges, liquid cooling has become a critical requirement for high-end computing centers. Metal 3D printing directly integrates high-purity copper powder into shaped microchannel high-thermal-conductivity cooling components, overcoming the manufacturing challenge of 0.1 mm-level ultrafine channels that cannot be formed in one piece via conventional methods. This eliminates interface thermal resistance and leakage risks associated with traditional multi-part assembly while significantly shortening product iteration cycles. Currently, Huagong Tech’s Suzhou Smart Manufacturing East China Headquarters Base has achieved batch delivery with full production schedules. A 50-mu Wuhan production base is under accelerated construction and is expected to become operational by 2027. The application of metal 3D printing in AI thermal management has moved from technical validation to batch delivery, marking the accelerating demand for high-purity copper powder in computing infrastructure.
2026-07-04CMOC Group and Xiamen Tungsten Joint Venture Halts Production, Highlighting Tungsten Resource Competition Risks
Xiamen Tungsten announced that its joint venture Luoyang Yulu has essentially ceased production after partner CMOC Group stopped supplying tailings. Luoyang Yulu, 60% owned by Xiamen Tungsten and 40% by CMOC, has been recovering scheelite from CMOC's molybdenum flotation tailings for over 20 years. In the first half of 2026, the venture posted a net profit of approximately 336 million yuan, more than 2.7 times its full-year 2025 profit, before production was forced to a halt. CMOC cited compliance with national tungsten mining regulations for the supply suspension; Xiamen Tungsten stated that "both parties are still in communication." In 2025, Luoyang Yulu contributed 61.3684 million yuan, or 2.66%, to Xiamen Tungsten's attributable net profit. This incident exposes Xiamen Tungsten's insufficient tungsten resource self-sufficiency and the long-standing resource competition challenges in China's rare metals supply chain.
2026-07-04Dassault Systèmes Launches 16th AAKRUTI Global Student Design Competition with Four Themes: Robotics, Healthcare, and Mobility
Dassault Systèmes has launched the 16th edition of the AAKRUTI International Student Design and Innovation Competition. For the 2026–27 season, the competition focuses on four thematic areas: robotics, local community issues, healthcare innovation, and mobility. Participants are required to use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and SOLIDWORKS software to propose solutions with measurable outcomes. The prize pool is $20,000, with winners receiving a SOLIDWORKS license, and all participants eligible to earn industry certifications such as CSWA/CSWP. The company invests nearly $1 million annually in this program. The competition has attracted over 75,000 students from more than 1,000 institutions across 37 countries, with about 500 former participants now working at leading global companies. The global finals will be held at the 3DEXPERIENCE World conference in Nashville in 2027. This competition is a key talent strategy for Dassault Systèmes to bridge the gap between academic education and industry skills.
