Swedish metal 3D printer manufacturer Freemelt has received an additional order for its industrial-grade eMELT electron beam powder bed fusion system from strategic partner Jiuli New Material. The system is scheduled for delivery in Q3 2026, with an order value consistent with previously communicated pricing levels. The two companies signed a strategic cooperation agreement in 2025, through which Freemelt gains localized support, technical expertise, and a commercial network. The new order will focus on application development in China's energy and medical technology sectors. Freemelt's CEO stated: 'This order confirms the value of our technology and enables us to further position ourselves in one of the most expansive and competitive metal additive manufacturing markets globally.' The eMELT system is based on electron beam powder bed fusion technology, which melts metal powder layer by layer in a vacuum environment, particularly suited for processing materials such as titanium, copper, and tungsten.
